Bookworm Lately!

Sunday, June 9, 2013

I thought I'd share a few of the books I've had the pleasure of reading recently! I won't write a synopsis of each, just a picture, and maybe later I'll add a synopsis or link to Amazon or something, with the hopes that you'd be interested  :)

And here they are... Books I've read and loved recently - within the past two weeks, actually!

Well, there ya have it! Can you believe I've read all of these within the past few weeks? I'm currently still reading I'm No Angel, but have completed the rest within the past week alone. All of these are in my pile of favorite books now, but I think one of the greatest is Touching Heaven. It is an incredible book of a children's hospital student chaplain and the incredible God-fearing children she met and their stories along the way. I have such a heart for this book because it is my life - read my testimony for more, and I definitely plan on sharing this in more detail later down the road. We will see what happens -I'm "applying" now for weekly volunteer positions at Rady's Children's in San Diego, in any way they need.

Anyway, please enjoy! Let me know if you pick up one of these books for your summer reading list or anytime down the road...you'll be glad you did!

  1. I wanted to read that by the former VS angel, it looked really good! LOL, I almost sent you that Proverbs 31 book in your cara box. I had just read it and when I heard you are a military wife, I though of it right away:)

    1. I'm reading it now (I'm No Angel), I really like it so far! I'm really glad she shared her story! Also I absolutely had to get the Proverbs 31 book as soon as I could, I read Sara Horn's other book (God Strong) and it was incredible. That's the 5-wk study I'm doing right now I've posted about, and I recommend it to every milso I meet. The Proverbs 31 book was really funny and insightful too! I know we all get caught up in one of those ruts every now and then.
