If you've been here for any amount of time, it's no secret that I love a good book. Many, many good books at that. In fact, at any given point, I'm reading upwards of 4 books at a time. Of course, there is the long novel, the short or monthly devotionals, and always a book that I read in full within a few days of picking it up. I just simply love a good read! I'm also in search of larger bookcases..
Here is a peek into what I am reading now:

1. A Lineage of Grace series, Francine Rivers - I love everything by this author! She has a way with words and stories. This series of novellas follows women in the line of the messiah - Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary. The stories are titled Unveiled, Unashamed, Unshaken, Unspoken, and Unafraid. Ladies, worth the time to read!

2. Women Living Well by Courtney Joseph is a book that recently came out that I've been looking forward to for some time! She blogs and encourages women through her online ministry, and this book is an extension of that. Simple steps are given for women to live a full, well life in this modern world, centered on Jesus and his teachings. Staying up all night to read this one!

3. Wife After God is a 30-day devotional by Jennifer Smith who blogs at Unveiled Wife. I actually first put this on my to-read list because I saw Victoria , a sweet blog-friend-turned-real-life-friend post about this book a while ago! These devotionals are scripturally based and walks you through different lessons and encouragements for our duty as wives, in ways to pray over our husband and marriage, such an honorable role!

4. Max Lucado's Life Lessons devotional series follows each biblical book in a detailed and thought-provoking outline that is such a encouragement. Currently with the women's bible study on base we are studying 1 & 2 Thessalonians, which contains Paul's letters of encouragement to young Timothy in regards to the churches in ancient Thessalonica.

What have yall been reading lately? I love a good book suggestion! And if you've read any of these before feel free to share!

  1. Oh man! I wish I could read more often! All these books look so good! I'm currently going through a "Bible in 90 Days" group with some women I went to high school with (via Facebook group), and it's been tough keeping up some days! After I'm done, I plan on reading Lisa Bevere's "Fight Like a Girl"! I'm really excited!

    1. How cool! I haven't thought to have a study via FB, I'll have to look into that! I also haven't heard of either of those.. Definitely have to look into it! And I read to take a break from studying or cleaning! You have to plan it into your day or else you never have time to, so it's nice to have a schedule down that allows for that!

  4. I'm always looking for good book suggestions, too. The best ones I've read lately are Fierce Women by Kimberly Wagner, A Severe Mercy by Sheldon Vanauken, and The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert by Rosaria Champagne Butterfield.
